Twitch Link Preview by damiancx does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data or user activity data to any external server. The extension does not use analytics, tracking cookies, advertising, or any third-party code.
The extension does not store any data. It has no settings, no local storage, and keeps no record of your activity.
When you hover over a link in Twitch chat, the extension opens the linked page in a separate browser window that it creates and manages using Chrome's Windows and Tabs APIs. This is done so the preview: (1) isn't blocked by websites that refuse to be embedded, and (2) can be muted at the browser level, so no audio ever plays automatically. Where Incognito access has been manually granted to the extension by the user (via Chrome's extension settings — this cannot be requested or enabled by the extension itself), the preview window opens in Incognito mode.
The extension does not read, store, log, or transmit the URL, content, browsing history, or any other data from the preview window or from any other tab you have open. It only manages the one preview window it created (positioning it, navigating it, and muting its audio).
The extension only runs on twitch.tv. It has no access to any other website.
